Pernod Ricard USA’s (PRUSA) training department is creating five role-based playbooks for their sales and marketing teams. The first of these playbooks contains over 300 pages of content that will be distributed the field. PRUSA knew they did not want to incur the cost and inefficiencies in printing, binding, and distributing these documents as well as trying to keep these hard-copy documents up-to-date.
Additionally, there are video, job aids, and a glossary that must be available to these employees.
The sales and marketing teams have been provided iPads for other purposes. The question was how to implement an approach to take advantage of the iPads for the playbooks.
Create an Enterprise App for The PRUSA Playbook Apps.
The Playbook Apps are PR branded native iOS apps to take full advantage of the look and feel and device capabilities of the iPad.
There are sections in the app for:
• Playbook content (PDFs)
• Job Aids
• Knowledge Checks (scored quizzes on the materials).
• Note taking
• Videos (on-board as well as YouTube)
• Searchable Glossary with Related Terms capabilities
• Help and Support section with a tutorial on app features and functions.
• Reporting and email functions for Knowledge Checks Scores and Notes
We have completed two play books, each for a specific role in the sales organization, and the initial response is overwhelmingly positive both from the training department and executive management.
PRUSA was so impressed with these play books, that two more have been ordered for other roles in the company based on the same iPad template.
